Throstle is a 56ft Cruiser Stern Style Narrowboat built by Harborough Marine in 1974. She is powered by a Lister diesel engine and gearbox. These were reconditioned by Wildes of Shrewsbury in 2001/2002. [Approx 600 running hours since]. She has a GRP top on a steel hull, the hull bottom and side plates were renewed in 2002 by Mark Dicken. She was last blacked in August 2008. The interior was refitted in 1995 with Oak kitchen units, insulated Oak faced ply lining. The galley [Approx 6? 2? Lg] has a full sized gas cooker, oven & hob, sink and drainer with mixer taps. Hot water is provided by a gas fired Morco boiler. Walk through bathroom with tiled shower, Thetford casette toilet and wash hand basin. There is a full-sized dining area [Approx 6? 6? Lg] and large living room / Saloon [Approx 11? 10? Lg]. Heating is provided by a Heron solid fuel stove in the front saloon and 240v radiators in the rear. Ample storage space is available. The front deck has locker seating, table and is protected by a cratch and cover. The cruiser stern is also protected by a cover.

Throstle is ideally suited for a first time boater to explore the inland waterways, and is moored at our Whixall Marina on the Prees Branch of the beautiful Llangollen Canal.
